I'm in Quilting Heaven

Well, I've finished my first quilt and I'm almost done the second one that I've been working on.

I sewed up a Peter Rabbit Quilt for a friend of mine. It was a very small blanket, for one of her rabbits. :) I hope he's enjoying it.

I had started hand quilting a baby blanket for my cousin, who had her baby two days ago. I still have to sew up the sides of the blanket, but I think that I'll machine that as she may need to wash the blanket often.

Welcome Welcome

Our first post! Wow! Well, a little about us perhaps? My sister and I are avid knittiners and love all things crafting. She lives in London, and I'm in Toronto. We decided it'd be a LOT more fun to share a space (especially for the readers). My current projects include well, nothing. I keep starting and never get around to finishing. Then I find a new project I want to do, rip out my old and it begins again. Must.Stop.It.

And then there's me. Knitting is about all I do lately. I'm currently working on two pairs of socks for my boyfriend's sister's wedding. Don't ask.... They are made of Bernat Boa for the legs and very very crazy looking. The bottom of the socks are more of a slipper (Elf style) so I can attach a big bell to each food. These socks are to be worn as a tradition for the French Canadians. If a younger sibling gets married before an older sibling, then the older sibling has to dance in these god awful socks and people throw money at them. All the money collected, goes to the bride and groom. That's a bad deal if you ask me. It should be going to the dancers that are wearing those horrible socks.
